Legal Terms for Our Elder Law Services
By engaging ElderLawBase's legal services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Singapore laws and legal regulations. These terms govern the attorney-client relationship and legal services provided by our firm.
Our elder law services are provided by qualified legal professionals licensed in Singapore. You agree to use our legal services in accordance with Singapore law and legal ethics. You must not:
- Provide false or misleading information to your attorney
- Use our legal services for any unlawful purpose
- Breach attorney-client confidentiality
- Misrepresent our legal advice or services to third parties
Either party may terminate the attorney-client relationship with written notice. We reserve the right to withdraw from representation in accordance with Singapore legal ethics rules, including conflicts of interest or non-payment of legal fees.
Our return policy for elder law services reflects the nature of legal work:
- Consultation fees are non-refundable once the consultation has been provided
- Document preparation fees may be partially refundable if work has not commenced
- Retainer fees may be refunded for unused portions of legal work
- Completed legal documents and advice cannot be returned or refunded
- Any refund requests must be made in writing within 7 days of service completion
To discontinue our legal services:
- Provide written notice of termination to your assigned attorney
- All outstanding legal fees must be settled before termination
- Allow up to 10 business days for file transfer and case closure
- Confidentiality obligations continue after termination of services
All communications between clients and ElderLawBase are protected by attorney-client privilege under Singapore law. We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and legal matters in accordance with legal professional standards.
ElderLawBase's liability is limited to the scope of legal services provided. We are not liable for decisions made by clients based on legal advice, outcomes of legal proceedings, or third-party actions. Our professional liability insurance covers legal malpractice claims as required by Singapore law.
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in Singapore law or our legal practice. Clients will be notified of significant changes in writing. Continued engagement of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
